Featured Author: Dan Santat Trevor 2024 Visiting Author
We encourage all students to read all summer long for pleasure, for knowledge, and to stay in the practice of reading. The MS and US Library will send out monthly newsletters with a Zoom link for the summer book club, book videos, and trailers, and information about new reads. All students are invited to join Ms. Casey in the book club (day and time to be announced), to discuss their current reads, play book trivia games, and win prizes. Books featured in the book club will be available for check-out on the SORA app and website. Students simply need to log in with their Trevor username and password to access the titles. Please let Ms. Casey know if you need help logging in.
Dan Santat is the Caldecott Medal–winning and New York Times–bestselling author and illustrator of The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend and the road trip/time travel adventure Are We There Yet? His artwork is also featured in numerous picture books, chapter books, and middle-grade novels, including Dav Pilkey's Ricky Ricotta series. Dan lives in Southern California with his wife, two kids, and many, many pets. All middle school students will receive a copy of A First Time for Everything for their summer reading.
